He covered "Spirits in the Material World" (as "Spirits in a
Material World") on 1990's Wize Up! (No Compromize). The
version on this album was recorded with Sting, the original writer,
for the film "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls" in 1995. It was
released as a single and made #36 in the UK in early 1996. Banton
later re-recorded the song (without Sting) for a greatest hits album
in 2008. (2) then made #14 in the UK singles chart in July that
year. (HP, 24 Nov 18)
