Comments:
Recorded live in Chicago and Minneapolis USA in Nov 1994, on this tour Howe played to backing tracks (1, 7,
9, 13, 15, 16). "Rare Birds" is a version of the ABWH b-side "Vultures". "Windy and Warm" has no lyrics, but a
few wordless vocals. "Classical Gas" was a live staple for Howe back in his earliest years with Yes.
After the end of "Classical Gas", track 9 includes Howe's introduction to track 10, "Turn of the Century", in which he plays brief extracts from the other tracks on Going for the One in the order: "Going for the One", "Parallels" (with vocals), "Awaken", "Wonderous Stories" (with wordless vocals). Reviews:
(***) There are no repeats from Not Necessarily Acoustic
but the material here sounds odd in places with the additional instruments. MP
