Notes: Tracks (2-10) are songs contemporary to when the movie was set. (1) and (11) are songs recorded for the film, while (12) is a medley of parts of the score, including non-verbal vocals from Keys. At just over half an hour, it is disappointing that the album did not include more of Rabin and Keys' work. Rabin's website said:
"Glory Road" opened at number one in the box office on January 13, 2006. Trevor's ninth BMI award for this movie followed shortly thereafter. He worked with Alica Keyes for the soundtrack where they penned six new collaborations between them. “Alicia was a breath of fresh air. She was wonderful to work with and listen to.” One song to listen for is a gospel hymn written in 1916, which Trevor arranged, played guitar and Fender Rhodes. However, little of the music described there makes it to this release.
Rabin's familiar team are here, including Kempster, Linford and Goodwin. (HP, 25 Jul 06)
