Notes (****): Released Nov 2019, the album is hard rocking and familiar to Hawkins' earlier work. (10) is a cover of the song by The Yardbirds released in 1968 (recorded 1965-6).

Hawkins and Davison have been friends from childhood. Davison has a minor role on the first song: you can tell it's him, but he's only audible in a few places.

This is Hawkins and the band's third album. Chaney worked with Hawkins in Alanis Morisette's backing band and I think has been in the band throughout. Arnold was the guitarist in the band on the first two albums, but just has a guest role here. The album liner notes describe the band as being Hawkins, Chaney and Woods, but in some sources Lousteau is also given as a band member. Other guests include Hawkins' Foo Fighters band mates Grohl and Smear, as well as Wilson from Heart and Taylor from Queen. (Lousteau has also worked with the Foo Fighters previously.) Grohl and Taylor had both been on the band's previous album, Red Light Fever. (HP, 25 Apr 20)
