Notes: One of McCartney's better solo albums, Flowers in the
Dirt
was first re-released in 1989, but the later Collection version
came with three bonus
tracks, although none involve Horn. Above gives details for the
2CD Archive Collection release too, while a 4-disc deluxe edition
added a third CD with 1988 demos of the same material on CD2. It
also comes with further digital downloads covering b-sides (i.e.
the three bonus tracks on the Collection release), remixes, single
edits and additional demos. Disc 4 is a DVD with all the music
videos from the album (2 versions of "My Brave Face", 2 versions
of "This One", "Figure of Eight", "Party Party", "Ou est le
Soleil?", "Put It There", "Distractions", "We Got Married"), three
new short films with unseen archive material about the making of
the album ("Paul and Elvis", "Buds in the Studio", "The Making of
'This One'"), and the 1989 documentary "Put It There" about the
making of the album, with footage from McCartney's 1989 tour. It
also comes with an extensive book.
(11) is dedicated to Brazilian rain forest campaigner Chico
Mendes.
(14) was the Nov 1987 b-side to "Once Upon a Long Ago". (15) was
the b-side
to (1). (16) was the b-side to (7), but was recorded in 1986. (HP,
