Notes: (*****) (24, 26, 28) were previously unreleased. (24), a new
version of (13), uses an unfinished guitar part by Banks and was
completed after his death by Billy Sherwood, Tony Kaye and Jay
Schellen, who had all previously and separately worked with Banks.
(26) is a previously unreleased version of the track on Ant-Bee's
2011 Electronic Chuch Muzik.
(28) is a previously unreleased, longer version of "As Night Falls"
on Reduction.
Bennett and Hough were in Flash. Stephenson was in the final line-up
of Empire. Of course, Wetton was in King Crimson/Asia and Hackett
and Collins were in Genesis.
This compilation offers a representative selection from Banks' four
solo albums, combined with various rarities. Can I Play You
Something? is unlikely to be re-released given rights issues,
but CD2 here rescues the Banks solo tracks therefrom. We also get
the rare Guitar Workshop Volume Two tracks and the
ultra-rare Small Beginnings: Flashback tracks along with the
three previously unreleased tracks. (HP, 4 Jan 18)
