Notes: Another Cleopatra Records tribute album led by Billy
Sherwood. It was released through Bandcamp on 18 Jan 2020, with a
general release, including a coloured LP, following 10 Apr. (1)
begins with the main section of the original track, but Auger's solo
quotes multiple Keith Emerson parts. Aaron on (9) is Keith's son,
and Ethan is Aaron's son, Keith's grandson. (11) is from some the
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's Plays Prog Rock Classics
(which Moraz and Van Leer guested on for other tracks).
ELP's music suits the tribute format because it comes with lots of
soloing opportunities for your guest keyboardists. Compare also
1999's Encores, Legends
and Paradox, with Downes, Banks and Khoroshev from Yes,
which also had Sherinian and Rudess. (HP, 20 Mar 20; updated 12 Sep
